Step-by-Step Instructions
- Fill Tube: Rinse the clean glass test tube and fill it to the 5 ml line with aquarium water.
- Bottle #1: Add 10 drops from solution bottle #1. Cap the tube and invert to mix.
- Shake Bottle #2: Vigorously shake solution bottle #2 for 30 seconds (this step is critical to resuspend settled chemicals for an accurate reading).
- Bottle #2: Add 10 drops from solution bottle #2 to the tube.
- Mix: Cap the test tube securely and shake it vigorously for a full 1 minute.
- Wait & Read: Wait 5 minutes for the color to develop fully, then compare the liquid color to the laminated color card in good lighting.
