Description
Overview & Specifications
- Purpose: Detects toxic ammonia produced by fish waste, uneaten food, and decaying organic matter.

How to Use the Test Kit
- Fill the Tube: Rinse the glass test tube with water from the aquarium, then fill it to the line with a water sample.
- Add Drops: Hold Bottle #1 completely vertical and add 8 drops to the test tube. Then, hold Bottle #2 completely vertical and add 8 drops.
- Mix: Put the cap tightly on the test tube and shake it vigorously to mix the solution.
- Wait: Allow the color to develop for 5 minutes.
- Read Results: Compare the color of the liquid against the appropriate color chart in good lighting (holding it against a white background for accuracy).
Testing Schedule Recommendations
- New Aquariums: Test several times a week for 4 to 6 weeks during the initial cycling process.
- Established Aquariums: Test weekly for routine monitoring or immediately if fish show signs of stress or illness.
