Overview & Taxonomy
- Neocaridina Sunkist: A selectively bred freshwater dwarf shrimp (Neocaridina davidi) featuring a bright citrus-orange body. They are extremely popular in the aquarium trade and very easy to care for.
- Caridina thambipillai: A wild-type freshwater shrimp native to Malaysia and Myanmar, sometimes called the Sunkist, mandarin, or tangerine shrimp. Unlike Neocaridina, they require a brackish larval stage, making them much harder to breed in home aquariums.
