Description
The Spotted Scat (Scatophagus argus), also known as the butterfish, is a popular, deep-bodied fish found in Indo-Pacific coastal, brackish, and freshwater environments. It is recognized by its silvery-green to brownish body covered in dark spots, with two main color morphs: green and red. Active and hardy, they are popular in aquariums but require large, well-filtered tanks, as they grow up to 14 inches
