Description
- Product Type: General aquarium tonic and disinfectant
- Bottle Size: 100 ml (treats up to 500 litres of aquarium water)
- Active Ingredients: Acriflavine (1125 mg / 100 mL) and Methylene Blue (67.5 mg / 100 mL)
When to Use
- To keep background disease-causing pathogens under control when fish show early signs of stress (clamped fins, loss of appetite, sluggish behaviour).
- When introducing new fish or disinfecting live foods to prevent introducing parasites and bacterial infections.
How to Use
- Calculate your tank volume in litres using the formula: \(\text{Length} \times \text{Width} \times \text{Depth (in cm)} \div 1,000\).
- Shake the 100ml bottle thoroughly.
- Mix the correct measured dose of the treatment with 1 litre of aquarium water.
- Pour the mixture slowly into the aquarium to distribute it evenly.
- Note on Water Color: The treatment will turn the aquarium water green. This green tint remains for at least a week and shows that active ingredients are still working.
- After 7 days, perform a 1/3 partial water change. Continue doing weekly partial water changes until the green color disappears entirely. You can also use activated carbon to help clear the remaining color faster.
