Chladophlora are very slow growing but can reach diameters of up to 10cm.
What water conditions do they require?
Aquarium moss balls are a type of green algae known as Chladophlora, or even “Marimo”. In an aquarium, moss balls are decorative in the foreground and midground. Before placing into your fish tank, it is recommended to rinse them under flowing water in time to remove excess detritus. Algae balls have a lot of surface area for microorganisms and great if you have shrimp.
