- Scientific Name: Hoplisoma panda (Longfin variety)
- Size: 2 to 2.5 inches (5 to 6.5 cm)
- Lifespan: 5 to 8 years
- Temperament: Extremely peaceful, social, and active
- Key Feature: Flowing, elongated dorsal, pectoral, and caudal fins combined with the classic dark eye bands and a dark spot near the tail.
Tank Requirements
- Minimum Tank Size: 15 to 20 gallons for a small group, with a focus on a wide footprint rather than height.
- Group Size: Must be kept in a school of at least 4 to 6 individuals to reduce stress and encourage natural social behavior.
- Water Parameters: Temperature of 68°F–77°F (20°C–25°C), pH of 6.0–7.5, and hardness of 2–20 dH. They prefer slightly cooler, well-oxygenated water.

Diet and Feeding
- Diet Type: Omnivorous scavenger.
- Food Sources: Sinking pellets, micro-granules, and tablets formulated for bottom-feeders. Supplement with live or frozen foods like brine shrimp, daphnia, and bloodworms.
