Seachem Pristine is a natural, non-chemical water management supplement that uses beneficial bacteria and bio-augmentation to break down organic waste, sludge, and detritus in freshwater and marine aquariums.
Description
Key Functions and Benefits
- Waste Breakdown: Consumes excess fish food, organic waste, and oily surface films.
- Water Clarity: Produces biopolymers that trap tiny suspended particles to clear cloudy water.
- Nutrient Control: Lowers excess levels of ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates that feed unwanted algae and disease organisms.
- Hardy Bacteria: Adapts easily to low-oxygen environments unlike traditional nitrifying strains.
Usage and Dosage
- Initial / Heavy Dose: Use 1 capful (5 ml) for every 40 L (10 US gallons) of tank water.
- Maintenance Dose: Use 1 capful (5 ml) for every 80 L (20 US gallons) weekly, during cleanings, or when adding new fish.
- Tips: Turn off UV sterilizers and ozone filters for 2 to 3 days during application to let the bacteria settle.
