Key Properties & Technical Profile
- Water Chemistry Impact: Dragon Stone is chemically inert. It will not leach minerals into the aquarium, meaning it does not alter the pH, KH, or GH of the water.
- Color Palette: Features an organic blend of warm earthy tones, including light browns, yellowish-oranges, deep reds, and subtle greens. These colours darken significantly and become much richer when submerged.
- Texture & Structure: Extremely porous and layered. The abundance of small holes and crevices makes it perfect for anchoring epiphytic plants (like mosses, Anubias) and provides natural grazing grounds and hiding spots for small fish and shrimp.
- Fragility: Because it is clay-based rather than dense metamorphic rock, it is relatively brittle and lightweight.
